My Brother

Topic:Write an essay in which you tell us about someone who has made an impact on your life and explain how and why this person is important to you.

Someone who has really had a great impact in my life is my brother. We both grew up together in New Jersey and I have always looked up to him. We are only 3 years apart and we have many similiarites. We both like to do many things and participate in diferent activities such as soccer, dance, and may other things. We have always had each others back even though we might not be doing the right thing. I remember a time when he got in a fight with a kid twice his size. I couldnt just stand their and see my brother get his butt whooped on his own, so I had no choice but to go out there and get my butt whooped too. That was my first fight and I was 5 years old. Ever since that day we have always had each others back no matter what. He was turning into a bad boy though. He started skipping school, getting into fights everyday, drinking alcohol, but somewhere along the way he changed. Now he is the first person in my family to graduate from a university. He is like our families pride. Everybody is so proud of him because he has accomplished so much in so little time. Right now he is 20 years old and has already graduated from UTI, a career school for mechanics. He busted his ass trying so hard every morning. He would get up at 4 in the morning to go to school and then from there go straight to work. He basically had no time to have fun. He did this for 2 straight years with no vacations or anything. After he was done with that he went to another school in Arizona and studied there for 6 more months so that he can specialize himself in a certain area and company of cars. I think he doesn't realizes how he has impacted my life but everyday I know he does. Wherever he goes, he is always there to do something good. He doesn't go anywhere simply to disrespect someone or start a fight. He was taught better than that. He is well mannered and behaves very well in front of everyone. He is polite yet fun in almost every aspect and that is the kind of person I would like to be. Someone my cousins and siblings can look up to. Someone that does the right thing when he is pressured to do something wrong. Someone that has worked so hard and put so much attention towards his education. I want to be someone like him, someone everybody can be proud of.
